What I really love about this book is how its pacing is great, and how it doesn\'t waste your time with stuff about how Genghis Khan clipped his toenails, how he tied his shoes, or anything else like that. It\'s interesting, it gets to the point, and it has a lot of really interesting information about the way the Mongols waged war and conquered so much, with so few people. Is it the best book for people who want a deep-dive into the life of Genghis Khan? No. Is it a great book to read if you like history and want to learn about Genghis Khan? Absolutely. It is worth mentioning that the book emphasizes the long-term effects of Genghis Khan\'s life, such as the mixing of Asian cultures, spreading different traditions around the continent, and creating siege warfare. This is done, however, at the expense of showing the evil that Genghis Khan brought upon anybody in his way. The book does mention the rapes, murders, and torture of people by the Mongols. The book takes a neutral (kind of) position, presents the effects, gives details about the bad stuff, but does not spend time condemning them throughout the book. If you want to have somebody tell you, over and over again, how bad somebody is, you won\'t like this book.
