I read this in high school and really enjoyed it. It\'s a fun read, and it has some really interesting stories about Pablo Escobar, and the insane level of wealth that the Medellín Cartel amassed during the 1980s. That being said, it is not written all that well, and the book is very, very biased in favor of Pablo Escobar. Sure, he gave to the poor, fixed up people\'s homes, loved his family, and so on, but he still killed a lot of people with the drugs he sold, and he killed many others without using drugs. You get a really interesting view of the man\'s life, but not one that presents the entire situation. It makes him seem more like a regular person, which is exactly the point.
